Alright, everyone it is time for the 2019 G-town Bag Tag Tournament.
This year the Bag Tag will be at Bradley Center again and will feature two rounds, one round of singles and then one round of doubles. This year the course will continue to have 21 holes! Also, sign-up will be inside the Rec center as they are opening up just for us once again! Thank you, Gastonia Parks and Rec!
This is how it will go. The first round everyone will be in the same division and we will play for our new 2019 bag tags. Tags are pretty awesome as per usual. The second round will be a cash payout doubles with partners decided by tag placement. So for instance: The number 1 tag will be paired with the highest tag. The 2 tag will be paired with the second highest tag and so on.
During the singles round, we will have at least 10 cash CTP’s. buy in for CTP’s will be $5.00 and they will be spread out on the course. We will also have team brownies to be won during the second round. Bring 5 cash for the CTPs.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided!!!
The tournament this year will be $25.00. This gets you your tag for the year, a dri-fit polo or tank top (or both add 10.00), breakfast, lunch, and some other fun goodies.
This tournament gets you a tag which is your membership into the club. Club membership gets you a dollar off weekly events, discounts on merchandise, and the ability to play for the tags of course!. Also, the money we collect goes to help support the club so that we can keep the courses in great condition, buy discs for payout, and run great events. Some examples of ways money has been spent over the last year were to make some upgrades to goat island, purchase of equipment for upkeep, and providing some seed money for a new Gaston county course for the future. Details to come in time.
Don’t forget about daylight savings time starting on Saturday night!!!! Spring forward don’t be LATE
The 2019 IDGC Amateur Championships sponsored by Dynamic Discs is back for the 8th consecutive year at the International Disc Golf Center during the weekend of March 9th & 10th. Mark your calendars!

All competitors will play three rounds of 18 holes over two days. Saturday will feature two rounds with a provided lunch break. Sunday will feature the third and final round, followed by awards. As a True Amateur event, competitors will be competing for a trophy award rather than merchandise payout.
