Stumpy Creek Disc Golf Course is a hidden gem in the surrounding area of Charlotte. Stumpy Creek is Charlotte's mountain course and it was installed and periodically maintained by the Charlotte Disc Golf Club.
Robbins Park Disc Golf Course is a really fun Intermediate to Advanced level course.
The layout plays through a mature forest that is bordered on both sides by old farm fields. A small stream runs through the middle of the course and is in play on all but 5 of the holes.
Scrapyard at Idlewild - Est. 2011 The course has a beautiful forest with slight elevation changes and lots of trees. There are two water carries, a feature unique to Charlotte. The holes aren’t too long but
Eager Beaver - Est. 2008 Short, beginner-level course in southeast Charlotte. Some holes fairly open, others are fairways in the woods. Two full sets of concrete tees provide challenge for beginners through more advanced players.
Angry Beaver - Est. 2009 This is a longer, advanced level course located in southeast Charlotte. Course is mostly in the woods. Accuracy and placement are more important than length. Water or OB come into play on 9
Renaissance Gold - Est. 1992 A monster of a course, with a bit of everything thrown in. Uphill, downhill, wide open, tight mandos, ravines, heavily wooded, long and even a short one or two. Follow YELLOW
There are the ruins of an old plantation house and a couple outbuildings which inspired the course name, The Plantation Ruins. The course has a combination of wooded and (a few) open holes, and is fairly short.
