CDGC Position Statement We are proud of embracing the great amount of diversity within our wonderful sport. Together, we stand against racism. Together we stand for inclusion. During these divisive times, it is important for our Charlotte Disc Golf Community to understand the strength of unity. After all, the chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

Sugaw Am League Results 1-31-16

Big day at Sugaw Creek Am League yesterday with 43 players, including first-timers Brian Killmore, Justin Beall, Tre Blake and Justin Parsons. Welcome fellas! Our big winner was Chris Madarasz, who won the random drawing for the January $40 gift card to presenting sponsor Alpine Ski Center. We had seven CTPs, starting with an Innova Big Kahuna and Flat-Top KC Pro Roc. Duffy Smith (who we welcomed back from his broken leg to play SCAL for the first time in 10 weeks) with ASC kicked in a Prodigy P1 and Lat 64 Soft Pure. Robbins Park

Robbins Park Disc Golf Course is a really fun Intermediate to Advanced level course. The layout plays through a mature forest that is bordered on both sides by old farm fields. A small stream runs through the middle of the course and is in play on all but 5 of the holes.

Scrapyard at Idlewild Park

The Scrapyard - Est. 2011 The course has a beautiful forest with slight elevation changes and lots of trees. There are two water carries, a feature unique to Charlotte. The holes aren’t too long but are very wooded and technical, forcing accuracy. The Scrapyard is named after the fundraising efforts of the Charlotte Disc Golf Club President Ralph Vickers. Funds for this course were raised from donations of scrap metal. Recycling cans, lawn mowers, scrap metal, etc. to make the course a reality. Course Location Located at Idlewld Road Park 10512 Idlewild Rd. Matthews, NC 28105 CLICK HERE FOR THE [...]

Reedy Creek Park

Reedy Creek Park - Est. 1989 This course is the area’s oldest. It is set in the woods over hilly terrain. Accuracy is more important than length. A variety of shots are needed to score well. The course has several hole locations to give it some variety. It is probably the most used course in the area as it is close to UNCC and gets many students playing the course.
